Promoting sport, we once again got involved in the activities of the Staszic Running Team, which made a strong showing at the Night Five race! Congratulations!!!

The Staszic Running Team invites students and graduates to participate in the race – as participants or supporters!

Those interested in running are invited to contact Prof. Jacek Patkowski.

Supporters are invited to gather in front of the school at 10 p.m. on 14 June to cheer on our strong team – the race route will allow us to show our support twice!

We will meet in front of the school entrance at 10 p.m. – everyone is welcome!

On April 13, 2025, the Staszic Running Team, consisting of Michalina Kula, Honorata Oleksiejuk, Bartosz Cegliński, Krzysztof Stryjewski, and Prof. Jacek Patkowski, ran a 10 km race, Dycha z Aliplastem. The weather was great, the mood was high, and the company was excellent. The results were also very decent, with Bartosz Cegliński being the fastest with a time of 48:09. Congratulations to all the competitors!

And on June 14, we invite you to join us in the Night Five race in the center of Lublin, including along Aleje Racławickie. Therefore, the Staszic Running Team is looking for people WILLING TO PARTICIPATE!

Please contact Mr. Jacek Patkowski (teams, electronic journal, e-mail) by April 19, 2025. This short time frame is necessary to place an order for professional T-shirts, which will be financed by the Association of Alumni of the Staszicak High School and Junior High School. The Association will cover the entry fee for those who run as part of our team and complete the race.

From April 10 to 13, the school hosted the 51st Geography Olympiad—we were able to provide financial support for this unique event.

This Sunday, April 13, the Staszic Running Team, consisting of Professor Jacek Patkowski, Michalina Kula, Honorata Oleksiejuk, Bartosz Cegliński, and Krzysztof Stryjewski, will take part in a 10-kilometer (!) race at the Zemborzycki Reservoir.

We encourage you to come and cheer them on!

You can still sign up for the running club - meetings are held every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at the Athletics Stadium on Aleje Zygmuntowskie in Lublin. If you are interested, please contact Michalina Kula or Krzysztof Stryjewski from class 3A.

From March 19 to 26, 2025, students from class 3A, accompanied by Prof. Jacek Patkowski and Prof. Monika Trznadel, visited New York. They participated in the “Change the World Model United Nations” (CWMUN) simulation of United Nations deliberations. The sessions were held at the UN headquarters, among other locations.

In addition to debating pressing issues facing the world today, such as the demilitarization of space and innovative approaches to healthcare, the students took the opportunity to admire the charms of the city. They visited the most impressive and recognizable attractions of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.
